year. Highly qualified certification is met by two (2) of the following: master’s degree, National Board
Certification, or ten (10) years of teaching experience. Credit hours earned prior to or in conjunction with
the earning of a degree cannot be considered for advancement to a salary category beyond the degree
awarded.
