FIELD TRIPS AND EXCURSIONS

(Guidelines For Foreign Travel By Staff and Students)

The North Kansas City School District recognizes the benefits of travel in foreign countries to both teacher and student. Accordingly, the following procedure for granting leave for travel is adopted:

All arrangements must be completed between the teacher and the district and approval must be received in writing by the teacher before any contact with students may be made.

Grades of students in all classes will be satisfactory before permission to travel is granted.

All costs for foreign travel will be borne by the students and teachers involved except as follows:

The teacher is eligible to apply for a grant to support special curriculum development efforts resulting from the travel experience.
